T02.ASPires.Tasks

To achieve the expected results the project is divided into 7 different tasks. These tasks allow the achievement of the objectives and the expected results within the project time line and within the planned budget.

The first task is dedicated to the project management, reporting to the commission, the monitoring and evaluation of project progress and the implementation of certain actions and activities. Responsible for implementing this task is the Coordinator with the support of all beneficiaries.

The second task is dedicated to the dissemination and publicity of project activities and results, that is mainly organized by using a project web page integrated with existing systems (such as seekms.dppi.info) and within the Disaster Management Training Program of the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Initiative for SEE.

The third task is dedicated to the definition of the advance system specification and partial experimental testing of early detection of forest fires that integrates sensor access networks, mobile device (like drone technology), edge network for data collection, acquisition and analyses, which will be capable to improve percentage of detecting forest fires in area of particularly importance. Simulations will be performed for the selected cases where the live experiments are not practically feasible. The aim is to increase the degree of efficiency and effectiveness of these systems and choose the most appropriate way of monitoring the forest areas of particular importance in order to promptly alert the competent institutions.

The fourth task has a goal to specify the communication protocols between the users of the Crisis Management System, creating the application that will allow the connection of all services to one interface and Creating the cloud-infrastructure, and selecting what data is visible to what actors in the Crisis Management System according to the decision making process in the system with previous revision and making necessary changes in the roles (obligations and responsibilities), procedures and rules in decision making process in the Crisis Management System.

The fifth task is to make more detailed specification, design and experimental tests close to the end-user environment. One of the developed and specified concepts in task C will be selected and further analysed in details as data models, technical solutions for access and core networks, technical solutions for forest fire detection devices and partial performance analyses will be done to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed system.

The sixth and seventh task aim in testing the concepts of integrated advanced systems for prevention and early detection of forest fires in existing CMIS and definition in steps of possible interconnections to the Crisis Management System other EU countries.
